Anion Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis Based on Nickel Ferrite Catalysts

Abstract A nickel ferrite was prepared by a liquid‐phase method and used as an oxygen evolution catalyst in anion exchange membrane electrolyser. complete physicochemical characterization of the performed through X‐ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Then, deposited spray coating technique onto Fumasep® FAA3‐50 anion‐exchange to realize catalyst‐coated (CCM), tested 5 cm 2 single cell setup so‐called zero‐gap configuration. At 60 °C 2.2 V, current density 3 A/cm reached, which is higher than that obtained with NiO IrO commercial catalysts. Moreover, chronoamperometric test 120 h highlighted good stability synthesized catalyst.
